Steel Melting Shop (SMS)​

We produce high quality Stainless Steel, Alloy Steel and Tool Steel, Billets & Blooms in our advanced Steel Melting Shop.

    a robust production control system with precise melting data.

Heat Treatment Facilities

In order to accomplish customer specific material, quality and mechanical properties, Laxcon Steels has state-of-the-art heat treatment facilities.

  • Our PLC controlled heat treatment furnaces give us precise control over temperature, resulting in greater uniformity and thereby achieve excellent mechanical properties.
  • Our specially designed heat treatment furnace can treat bars up to 7 metres.
  • Two PLC controlled Electrical Tempering furnaces 10 MT capacity & 18 MT capacity
  • Gas fired PLC controlled Soft Annealing furnace 40 MT capacity
  • Three Gas fired PLC controlled Solution Annealing furnaces 6 MT each
  • Water quenching tank for Solution Annealing 60 KL capacity
  • Oil quenching tank for Hardening 50 KL capacity
  • Quench delay time is less than 1 minute

Packaging Division

We, at Laxcon Steels, not only aim at producing high-quality stainless steel products but also placing them intact across our customers’ shelves.

We ensure the packaging of our products in different sizes while meeting the specific requirements of our customers according to industry standards. We have developed exclusive packaging processes along with special materials for effective and efficient packaging of our products. We also make sure that each product that we ship remains safe and protected during far-off transportation across high seas & surface transports.

We ship our products making use of a variety of packaging methodologies. Some of them include Standard Packaging- LDPE (Low-density Polyethene) and HDPE (High-density Polyethene), Cardboard Tube Packaging, Bubble Packing, Wooden Box Packaging, and Plastic Film Packaging. In some cases, as per customer preferences, we also use a combination of these packaging methodologies. All our stainless steel products, before going to the packaging department, undergo a stringent set of processes that include Colour Coding, Size Labeling, Surface Cleaning, Distance Ring Insertion, and Signode Strapping.

  • Packing in bundles of 500 – 1000kgs (1000 – 2000 lbs) covered with HDPE/LDPE with two lifting slings on each bundle.
  • In wooden boxes (Complying with ISPM 15 standard) of 500 – 1000 kgs (1000 – 2000lbs) with two lifting slings on each box.
  • Bars are also packed in fibre tube packing. Customized packing is also available.
  • Bundle is marked with the heat number, grade, size, net weight and gross weight.
